Money supply in July 2024
In July 2024, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 13.6bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in the value of deposits and other claims of the non-financial corporations sector and the household sector.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 23 August 2024 show that at the end of July 2024 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,352.9bn, i.e. PLN 13.6bn more than at the end of June 2024.
In July 2024, the value of deposits and other claims of the non-financial corporations sector included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 7.6bn, i.e. 1.6% and amounted to PLN 488.6bn. In the household sector it increased by PLN 4.7bn, i.e. 0.4%, to PLN 1,264.5bn.
The debt of the household sector increased by PLN 3.1bn, i.e. 0.4%, to PLN 791.5bn, and that of the other financial institutions sector decreased by PLN 6.7bn, i.e. 3.0%, to PLN 218.7bn. The net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 14.1bn, i.e. 3.6%, to PLN 403.0bn.
