Narodowy Bank Polski ensures the smooth functioning of the payment system, which enables the fast and secure transfer of money between both people and economic entities. NBP:
- organises and performs basic money settlements
- oversees the clearing systems
- performs regulatory activities
The financial system
NBP performs activities safeguarding the stability of the financial system and creates the conditions necessary for the development of the banking system. NBP:
- analyses and assesses the threats to financial system stability
- monitors the development of the financial system
