Graduate of the Central School of Planning and Statistics (currently Warsaw School of Economics). In 1981, she received a doctorate degree and in 1987 she was conferred a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in Economics.

Until 2011, she combined her research work with work in government institutions, holding the position of department director in the Central Planning Office and then in the Central Statistical Office. In the years 1996-2002, she worked in one of the largest Polish financial corporations. She was awarded the silver and gold Cross of Merit for teaching achievements.

She specialises in macroeconomic issues, including general problems of finance. She is the author of several textbooks, several hundred articles, as well as dozens of reports and expert opinions. The most important publication in her work is considered to be the 2010 report “Open Pension Funds in the social security system” and “From neoliberalism to neo-colonialism. A quarter of a century of systemic transformation in Poland” published in 2015.

She is a member of the National Development Council under the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

On 30 January 2016, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland appointed Dr. Grażyna Ancyparowicz to the Monetary Policy Council.
