Born in Mielec on 25 January 1981.
Graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2006, he received a doctorate degree in Economics. His career is connected with the Warsaw School of Economics, where he works as assistant professor at the Department of Economic Policy in the Institute of Political Economy, Law and Economic Policy. Author of academic publications on public finance and monetary policy.
In 2007-2016, he was head of the postgraduate studies in administration of EU funds. He has been a member of the Scientific Council of the Collegium of Management and Finance at the Warsaw School of Economics since 2008 (two terms). In May 2015, he became editor-in-chief of the bi-annual publication “Polityka Gospodarcza”. In the years 2009-2016, he directed the work of the Institute of National Economy.
In October 2015, he became coordinator of the section “Economy, work, entrepreneurship” in the National Development Council established by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
On 13 January 2016, the Senate of the Republic of Poland appointed Dr. Marek Chrzanowski to the Monetary Policy Council.
Following his resignation from the post of Member of the Monetary Policy Council (MPC), on 6 October 2016 the Senate of the Republic of Poland released Dr Marek Chrzanowski from his duties as MPC Member.
