Money supply in April 2025

In April 2025, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 31.4bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in the value of deposits and other claims of households and in cash in circulation.

Data released by NBP on 23 May 2025 show that at the end of April 2025, the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,547.1bn, i.e. PLN 31.4bn more than at the end of March 2025.

In April 2025, the value of deposits and other claims of the household sector included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 17.0bn, i.e. 1.3%, to PLN 1,372.4bn, of the other financial corporations sector by PLN 1.6bn, or 2.1%, to PLN 77.0bn, and of the non-financial corporations sector by PLN 1.5bn, i.e. 0.3%, to PLN 505,8bn. The value of cash in circulation rose by PLN 10.2bn, i.e. 2.5%, to PLN 414,0bn.

The debt of the other financial corporations sector increased by PLN 5.2bn, i.e. 2.4%, to PLN 226.2bn, of the household sector by PLN 5.1bn, i.e. 0.6%, to PLN 805.6bn, and of the non-financial corporations sector, by PLN 4.6bn, i.e. 1.1%, to PLN 430.4bn. The net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 23.5bn, i.e. 5.1%, to PLN 486.3bn.
