Money supply in July 2023
In July 2023, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 15.9bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in deposits and other claims of non-financial corporations and households.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 23 August 2023 show that at the end of July 2023 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,173.2bn, i.e. PLN 15.9bn more than at the end of June 2023.
In July 2023, the value of deposits and other claims of the non-financial corporations sector included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 13.8bn, i.e. 2.9%, to PLN 484.0bn, while that of the household sector increased by PLN 3.5bn, i.e. 0.3%, to PLN 1,140.6bn.
The debt of other financial institutions increased by PLN 1.9bn, i.e. 0.9%, to PLN 216.8bn. Non-financial corporate debt declined by PLN 3.2bn, i.e. by 0.8%, to PLN 412.7bn, while household debt – by PLN 0.2bn, to PLN 777.1bn. The net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 4.3bn, i.e. 1.2%, to PLN 348.0bn.
