Money supply in May 2025

In May 2025, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 22.8bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in the deposits and other claims of the non-financial corporations sector.

Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 24 June 2025 show that at the end of May 2025 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,569.9bn, i.e. PLN 22.8bn more than at the end of April 2025.

In May 2025, the value of deposits and other claims of the sector of non-financial corporations included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 10.2bn, i.e. 2.0%, to PLN 516.1bn, the value of deposits and other claims of the local government sector rose by PLN 3.2bn, i.e. 2.8%, to PLN 114.7bn, and in the household sector by PLN 2.8bn, i.e. 0.2%, to PLN 1,375.2bn.

The debt of the household sector increased by PLN 3.2bn, i.e. 0.4%, to PLN 808.9bn, and the non-financial corporate debt ─ by PLN 2,6bn, i.e. 0.6%, to PLN 433.0bn, whereas the debt of other financial institutions decreased by PLN 0.9bn, i.e. 0.4%, to PLN 225.2bn. The net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 5.9bn, i.e. 1.2%, to PLN 492.2bn.
