Money supply in October 2024
In October 2024, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 36.2bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in deposits and other claims of households and non-financial corporations.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 26 November 2024 show that at the end of October 2024 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,415.4bn, i.e. PLN 36.2bn more than at the end of September 2024.
In October 2024, the value of deposits and other claims of the household sector included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 17.7bn, i.e. 1.4%, to PLN 1,294.1bn, and of the sector of non-financial corporations – by PLN 14.9bn, i.e. 3.0%, to PLN 504.6bn.
The net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 5.3bn, i.e. 1.3%, to PLN 422.0bn. The debt of non-financial corporations increased by PLN 3.0bn, i.e. 0.7%, to PLN 419.5bn, household debt increased by PLN 2.7bn, i.e. 0.3%, to PLN 798.8bn, and the debt of other financial institutions increased by PLN 2.6bn, i.e. 1.2%, to PLN 225.9bn.
