Financial system infrastructure

A payment system is a network of institutional, legal, technical, and organisational links enabling the circulation of cash and non-cash money, as well as the trading of financial instruments.

Appropriate infrastructure is crucial for the proper functioning of the payment system. In Poland, this infrastructure consists of retail payment systems, large-value payment systems, and systems for clearing and settlement of transactions in financial instruments.
