Balance of payments

The Balance of Payments publications and press releases will present the b.o.p. data in domestic currency only

Narodowy Bank Polski hereby informs that – as from Q1 2015 – the Balance of Payments publications and press releases will present the b.o.p. data in domestic currency only. Thus far, the data have been presented in EUR.

This approach is compatible with other non-euro area Member States policy of releasing analytical data in domestic currencies. New approach will also facilitate comparability of balance of payments data with other domestic macroeconomic data.

Quarterly balance of payments press releases will include b.o.p. tables presented in EUR. Time series for monthly and quarterly balance of payments, however, are posted at NBP website in three currencies: PLN, EUR and USD.
