Paweł Mucha

Lawyer, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań.

From August 2015 to December 2016, he acted as a social advisor to President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. From 20 December 2016 to 31 December 2020, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. From 4 April 2017 to 31 December 2020, concurrently also Deputy Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. He also held the position of plenipotentiary for the referendum on the draft of the new Constitution. From 1 January 2021 to 31 August 2022, he again held the position of a social advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland. From 1 January 2021 to 31 August 2022 he served as advisor to the Governor of Narodowy Bank Polski, Prof. Adam Glapiński.

Counsel Paweł Mucha practiced law at legal firms in Poznań, Szczecin and Gryfino. He has experience of serving on supervisory and auditing bodies, and also experience of providing legal services to business organisations, including companies of strategic significance to the state economy, individuals and local government entities. From June 2021 to August 2022 he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PZU SA. In the years 2006-2010, 2011-2014, 2014-2018, and from 2018 to 31 August 2022 he was the Zachodniopomorskie (West Pomeranian) voivodeship councillor, including a long-standing Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Assembly of the Voivodeship.

Social activist. In the years 2011-2016, Treasurer of the National Board and West Pomeranian Regional Coordinator of the President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński Social Movement.

Between July 2010 and December 2016 he conducted independent practice of law. On 19 December 2016, he was entered in the list of non-practising lawyers of the Szczecin Bar Association. Academic teacher.

On 15 August 2022, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, at the request of the Governor of Narodowy Bank Polski, appointed Paweł Mucha member of the Management Board of Narodowy Bank Polski with effect from 1 September 2022.
