Narodowy Bank Polski issues “The White-Tailed Eagle” gold bullion coins in four denominations: 50 zł, 100 zł, 200 zł and 500 zł, corresponding to the most common bullion coin weights in the market: ⅟₁₀ oz, ¼ oz, ½ oz,1 oz, respectively. Polish bullion coins issues by NBP are struck in 999.9 fine gold.
The designs of “The White-tailed Eagle” coins:
- obverse: an image of the Eagle established as the state emblem of the Republic of Poland, the face value, the year of issue and the inscription “RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA”,
- reverse: an image of the head of the white-tailed eagle, the weight of the coin in ounces, the material: 999.9 Au.
Gold bullion coins issued by Narodowy Bank Polski are packed in special plastic packages. Attached to each package is a certificate containing technical data, a serial number and a brief description of the images on the reverse of the coins.

based on a daily afternoon quotation of gold prices published by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) on the day preceding the sale of coins at NBP and on the average exchange rate of USD according to the table of foreign exchange
rates, which is calculated for the day preceding the sale of coins – and where there is no exchange rate of USD available for the day preceding the sale of coins, the latest available USD exchange rate – plus a predefined markup.

Gold bullion coins issued by Narodowy Bank Polski are sold at the cash desks of the Regional Branches of NBP. The NBP Regional Branches are open Monday to Friday, 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
