Money supply in September 2022
In September 2022, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 18.1bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in deposits and other claims of households and non-financial corporations.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 24 October 2022 show that at the end of September 2022 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,062.1bn, i.e. PLN 18.1bn more than at the end of August 2022.
In September 2022, the value of deposits and other claims of the household sector included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 14.3bn, i.e. 1.4%, to PLN 1,044.3bn, and of the sector of non-financial corporations – by PLN 12.2bn, i.e. 2.8%, to PLN 448.1bn. The value of deposits and other claims of the sector of social security funds decreased by PLN 6.4bn, i.e. 41.4%, to PLN 9.1bn, and of the sector of other financial institutions – by PLN 6.3bn, i.e. 7.8%, to PLN 74.4bn.
Household debt increased by PLN 1.8bn, i.e. 0.2%, to PLN 816.6bn, while non-financial corporate debt fell by PLN 2.2bn, i.e. 0.5%, to PLN 434.0bn. The net debt of central government entities rose by PLN 10.4bn, i.e. 3.4%, to PLN 319.6bn.
