The Household Wealth and Debt Survey (BZGD) is a pioneering study as regards collecting wide range of the micro data on household assets and liabilities in Poland. The survey results are of key importance for understanding processes of saving, debt accumulation and risk taking by households, and are also instrumental for studying wealth and income inequality.

The BZGD survey was conducted two times in 2014 (pilot study) and 2016 by Narodowy Bank Polski in cooperation with Statistics Polsna (GUS). BZGD survey is a part of the all-European research project Household Finance and Consumption Network, coordinated by the European Central Bank.
