Presented reports include: statistical information on investment funds prepared on the basis of data provided to Narodowy Bank Polski – starting with data for the second quarter of 2010, list of investment funds, methodological note and back data.
The statistical information presents aggregated assets, liabilities and net assets of investment funds as well as information on changes in the population of investment fund market entities. Data on investment funds are broken down according to the investment policy and thereafter aggregated. These aggregations take into account, in particular, the sectoral affiliation of investors, the classification of financial instruments and the geographical area of the issuers of securities in the funds’ portfolios. Investment funds statistics provides information about changes in the population of investment fund market entities, i.e. investment funds and investment fund management companies. This statistics is compliant with the methodology of the European Central Bank (ECB). In line with the adopted methodology, the investment funds’ data aggregates do not include data of money market funds as defined by the ECB, data of funds in liquidation and – as of September 2020 – data of defined date funds offering employee capital plans (PPK) governed by investment fund management companies.
Reports are published on a quarterly basis.
The list of investment funds is hierarchical, i.e. it takes into account the subjective structure within each investment fund management company. The list includes investment funds and investment fund management companies, which represent them. In the case of a decision to withdraw an authorization to conduct activities by an investment fund management company – depositaries of investment funds, acting as a representing entity, step in.
The list is published on a monthly basis.
Reports are accompanied with a methodological note which delineates the scope of published data.
