Born in Stare Wnory on 5 February 1963.

Professor of Economics. In 1985, he graduated from the Faculty of Administration and Economics at the Institute of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw − the Branch in Białystok. In 1992, he defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Economics. In 2003, he received a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in economics in the field of economy at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Białystok. In 2004, he received the Individual Award of the Minister of National Education and Sport for his postdoctoral dissertation. In 2011, he was awarded the academic title of Professor of Economics.

He is an employee of the University of Białystok (formerly the Białystok Branch of the University of Warsaw), currently the Faculty of Economics and Finance. While there, he has been, among other things, Head of the Division of Entrepreneurship and Acting Head of the Division of International Economic Relations. Currently, he heads the Department of Business Sciences and the Division of Enterprise Theory within the Department. He also served as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the University of Białystok.

He is also President of the Waga Brothers Łomża Scientific Society and a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics − National Research Institute. He has authored over 200 research papers.

He has a wealth of business experience as a member of supervisory and management boards of major companies. For many years, he was employed by Polmos Białystok as a board member – chief commercial officer and president of the management board. He was also President of the Management Board of Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa S.A. He was a Member of Parliament of the eighth term.

On 18 February 2022, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda appointed Henryk Wnorowski member of the Monetary Policy Council.
