Money supply in June 2021
In June 2021, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 4.0bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in deposits and other claims of households and other financial institutions.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 22 July 2021 show that at the end of June 2021 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 1,876.0bn, i.e. PLN 4.0bn more than at the end of May 2021.
In June 2021, the value of deposits and other claims of households included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 5.7bn, i.e. 0.6%, to PLN 1,002.9bn, and claims of other financial institutions rose by PLN 2.6bn, i.e. 5.3%., to PLN 52.4bn. The stock of deposits and other claims of non-financial corporations decreased by PLN 5.1bn, i.e. 1.3%, to PLN 381.8bn, and the deposits of the local government sector decreased by PLN 1.7bn, i.e. 2.5%, to PLN 65.5bn.
Household debt increased by PLN 5.1bn, i.e. 0.6%, to PLN 802.1bn. The net debt of central government entities decreased by PLN 17.6bn, i.e. 4.8%, to PLN 345.8bn, while non-financial corporate debt decreased by PLN 4.1bn, i.e. 1.1%, to PLN 365.9bn.
