Money supply in October 2022
In October 2022, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 9.2bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in deposits and other claims of households and non-financial corporations.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 24 November 2022 show that at the end of October 2022 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,071.3bn, i.e. PLN 9.2bn more than at the end of September 2022.
In October 2022, the value of deposits and other claims of the household sector included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 9.1bn, i.e. 0.9%, to PLN 1,053.4bn, and of the sector of non-financial corporations – by PLN 4.4bn, i.e. 1.0%, to PLN 452.5bn. The value of deposits and other claims of the sector of other financial institutions decreased by PLN 9.6bn, i.e. 12.9%, to PLN 64.7bn.
Household debt decreased by PLN 10.8bn, i.e. 1.3%, to PLN 805.8bn, while non-financial corporate debt – by PLN 0.8bn, i.e. 0.2%, to PLN 433.2bn. The net debt of central government entities rose by PLN 3.9bn, i.e. 1.2%, to PLN 323.6bn.
