Money Supply in October 2023
In October 2023, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 7.2bn. This was driven mainly by an increase in the value of deposits and other claims of the non-financial corporation sector.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 23 November 2023 show that at the end of October 2023, the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 2,241.1bn, i.e. PLN 7.2bn more than at the end of September 2023.
In October 2023, the value of deposits and other claims of the non-financial corporation sector included in the M3 aggregate increased by PLN 3.4bn, i.e. 0.7%, to PLN 501.6bn, and claims of the household sector by PLN 1.7bn, i.e. 0.1%., to PLN 1,175.7bn.
The debt of the household sector decreased by PLN 10.5bn, i.e. 1.3%, to PLN 774.6bn, and of the non-financial corporation sector – by PLN 4.0bn, i.e. 1.0%, to PLN 407.2bn. These movements were significantly affected by the changes in the reporting population. The net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 7.6bn, i.e. 2.0%, to PLN 391.5bn.
