Money supply in September 2021
In September 2021, the M3 money supply increased by PLN 11.6bn. The increase was mainly driven by a rise in deposits and other claims of other financial institutions, non-financial corporations and households.
Data released by Narodowy Bank Polski on 22 October 2021 show that at the end of September 2021 the M3 aggregate amounted to PLN 1,914.2bn, i.e. PLN 11.6bn more than at the end of August 2021.
In September 2021, the value of deposits and other claims in the sector of other financial institutions rose by PLN 3.8bn, i.e. 6.8%, to PLN 60.0bn, the value of deposits and other claims in the sector of non-financial corporations rose by PLN 3.5bn, i.e. 0.9%, to PLN 398.9bn, and in the household sector the value of deposits and other claims increased by PLN 3.1bn, i.e. 0.3%, to PLN 1,009.4bn. The stock of deposits and other claims of local government institutions increased by PLN 0.4bn, i.e. 0.5%, to PLN 65.2bn.
Household debt increased by PLN 6.8bn, i.e. 0.8%, to PLN 820.2bn, while non-financial corporate debt grew by PLN 2.4bn, i.e. 0.6%, to PLN 373.2bn. The net debt of central government entities decreased by PLN 2.9bn, i.e. 0.9%, to PLN 311.7bn.
