The NBP Academy offers MBA studies in banking and the financial system
Lectures will be conducted by leading economists from Polish and foreign central banks.
Warsaw, 7 April 2023 – Narodowy Bank Polski informs that under the auspices of the NBP Academy and the Copernican Academy, postgraduate MBA (Master of Business Administration) studies titled “Banking and the Financial System” will be organised by NBP and the Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw. The lectures will be conducted by leading economists from Polish and foreign central banks. The “Banking and the Financial System” studies will cover the following:
- the functioning of the banking system in the economy, including the role of the central bank,
- selected aspects of the activities of commercial banks in terms of their interactions with the central bank and the supervisory system,
- selected issues related to the functioning of financial markets, including investment portfolio management and market risk.
“The subjects of the lectures focus on the functioning of financial systems and the role of commercial banks and central banking in these systems. Financial instruments will be analysed, including bank accounting, statistics and reporting, as well as monetary policy and money circulation,” said Prof. Adam Glapiński, Governor of NBP.
“The studies are aimed at managerial staff – members of statutory bodies, directors of commercial companies as well as managers who want to broaden their knowledge of economics, central banking and the related practical aspects. The MBA studies offered by the Copernicus Superior School will provide graduates with prestigious managerial qualifications and valuable skills. The lectures will be conducted by a group of market practitioners recognised in Poland and around the world,” added Dr Leszek Markuszewski, Rector of the Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw.
